Jonathan Garcia is an American speed skater who competed in the 2014 Winter Olympics. Garcia began his skating career as inline speed skater, winning his first
national title in 2004. He represented the United States three times in the World Championships, winning a bronze medal in 2006. In 2007, he represented
the United States at the Pan American Games before transitioning to short track speed skating on the ice.
In 2010, Garcia made the short track World Cup team and won a national title. He finished 14th at the 2010 Olympic Trials. Garcia won a second national title in 2011 before transitioning to long track speed skating. He made the World Cup team in 2012 and the World Championships in 2013. At the 2014 Olympic Trials Garcia made the Olympic team by finishing fourth in the 1000-meter event.
